REBUILD YOUR SMILE
Dentures
Dentures are a removable dental appliance that can serve as a replacement for missing teeth and surrounding tissue. There are two types of dentures: complete and partial dentures. Full dentures are used to replace all the missing teeth in the upper or lower arch. Partial dentures act as a replacement for missing teeth and fit around your remaining natural teeth.
Both full and partial dentures can be supported by implants for increased stability. We at Sand Springs Family Dentistry take great care to ensure our dentures look natural and each one is custom made only for you.

Who Needs Dentures?
Dentures can be used to treat a wide assortment of dental issues. Some of the most common reasons for dentures can include:
- Loss of all teeth in an arch.
- Loss of several teeth in an arch.
- Enhancing smile and facial tissues
- Improving chewing, speech, and digestion
The process of getting dentures requires several appointments, usually over a period of several weeks. Highly accurate impressions (molds) and measurements are taken and used to create your custom denture. Several “try-in” appointments may be necessary to ensure proper shape, color, and fit. At the final appointment, our Dentist will precisely adjust and place the completed denture, ensuring a natural and comfortable fit. Dr. Whitney will also discuss care instructions for your new dentures. Proper cleaning of your new dental appliance, good oral hygiene, and regular dental visits will aid in the life of your new dentures.
