+Anxiety Free Dentistry
Nitrous Oxide (Laughing Gas): We offer nitrous oxide, also known as laughing gas, to help patients
feel comfortable. This safe and easy option helps many patients, including children, who experience mild dental anxiety. Breathing in regular oxygen for several minutes completely reverses the effects.

Oral Sedation: In addition to laughing gas, we also offer oral sedation for patients who experience moderate to severe dental anxiety. Oral conscious sedation involves taking a prescribed sedative pill before your appointment to help you feel calm during your visit. We are happy to discuss which sedation option works best for you.

+Children’s Dentistry

We want your child’s dental visit to be positive for you and your family. We realize that a child’s experience at our dental practice can shape how he or she feels about dentistry for the rest of his or her life. At Sand Springs Family Dentistry, we strive to create positive and happy dental visits for children of all ages.

As a parent of two young children, Dr. Whitney understands the special attention that is needed to make each appointment pleasant for your child.

+Routine Cleanings
Maintaining six-month dental cleanings will help keep your gums healthy and your teeth white and clean. These visits allow us to find any issues before they become more serious. We strive to keep your appointments on time, and the cleanings comfortable.
+Tooth-Colored Fillings
Composite, or tooth-colored fillings, are used to repair decay, small fractures, and cosmetic flaws. These fillings bond to the teeth and closely match the natural color of your teeth to restore function and aesthetics.
+Crowns and Bridges
Crowns are used to cover teeth and restore them to their natural size, shape, color, and strength. They are used to repair cracks, fractures, decay, broken fillings, and root canal treated teeth. In addition to restoring single teeth, bridges are used to replace missing teeth. Once cemented in place, both crowns and bridges are not removable.
+Dental Implants
Dental implants are used to permanently replace a single tooth or multiple missing teeth. They are the closest replacement for a natural tooth and provide the highest cosmetics and comfort. Additionally, implants are the best way to stabilize a denture. If you suffer from a loose or ill-fitting denture, dental implants will give you the ability to secure your denture in place without adhesives.
Full dentures are used to replace all the missing teeth of an upper or lower arch. Partial dentures act as a replacement for missing teeth and fit around your remaining natural teeth. Both full and partial dentures can be supported by implants for increased stability. We take great care to ensure our dentures look natural and each one is custom made only for you.
+Digital X-rays
At Sand Springs Family Dentistry, we use state of the art dental technology. With digital X-rays, you no longer have to bite on sharp X-ray films for minutes, and your images are instantly captured and saved during your dental appointment. Most importantly, digital X-rays are safer, and emit up to 90% less radiation than traditional methods.
+Intraoral Camera
Digital photographs with our intraoral camera are a useful diagnostic tool. Through the use of a tiny camera, we can show you pictures of your teeth and gums. These pictures can help identify areas like a cracked tooth or a broken filling. The intraoral camera provides you with the opportunity to see what we see while we examine your mouth, and gives you a better understanding of your diagnosis and treatment options.
Our philosophy is to always save your natural tooth if it is possible. Unfortunately, some conditions in the mouth require tooth extraction. If it is determined that extractions are the best option, we will do everything to make your visit as comfortable as possible.
+Gum Care
Periodontal or gum disease is an infection that affects the gums and bone that surround the teeth. Gum disease that is left untreated will lead to tooth loss. To help treat gum disease and prevent tooth loss, we offer periodontal therapy that removes infection and improves oral health.
We offer Invisalign clear aligners to correct crooked teeth. Invisalign uses clear trays to slowly move teeth into the correct functional and cosmetic position, without the hassle of traditional metal wires and brackets. Invisalign provides the extra benefit of being able to easily remove the trays for eating, brushing, and flossing!
+Mouth Guards
Custom athletic mouthguards and nightguards help to protect and preserve your smile. For those of you who grind or clench your teeth, we offer a custom fit nightguard to protect your teeth and jaws from excessive wear and tear. Custom nightguards can often alleviate headaches and jaw soreness caused by grinding. For athletes, we offer a custom made mouthguard to protect your teeth from sports related injuries.
Dental veneers are thin, porcelain covers that are bonded to the front of your teeth. Veneers can be used to repair chipped or fractured teeth, close gaps between teeth, and fix discolorations. Whether you need to restore a single tooth that may have been fractured or discolored, or multiple to teeth create a perfect smile, veneers will provide a long-term solution for you
+Root Canal Therapy
A root canal is used to remove damaged nerve tissue inside of the tooth caused by deep decay, cracks, infection, and dental trauma. Without treatment, an infected nerve can cause pain and swelling, and will lead to an abscess that affects the surrounding bone. With root canal therapy, we remove any infected tissue or damaged nerves and then clean and seal the tooth.
